"In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father."
- Matthew 5:16 (NLT)
As part of our vision to serve and engage with the wider community of Malvern, we run several community groups, each with a unique focus. Below are some of the ways we want to serve our community and make a difference in people’s lives.

Diana Cieslar and Rebecca Chakko-George are qualified T.E.F.L. tutors (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)  and are involved in a community initiative offering free English lessons to Internationals currently living in Malvern and surrounding areas.  Those who have come along to the Better English classes have benefitted tremendously, not only in the knowledge they have gained, but in the sense of community that has been developed through the classes offered. The Better English classes take place at MEC on Friday evenings at 6pm.

Do you fancy meeting with a friendly group of fitness enthusiasts for a free, fun fitness class?

If you are 16 or over and would like to take part in our free 45-minute bootcamp fitness class presented by a qualified fitness instructor, join us on Wednesday evenings at MEC at 6pm.

There are several really good routines to give you a full-body workout. The group is open to men and women and offers a great, engaging way to get fit in an encouraging environment. Exercises can be done at different levels, so you don't have to be ultra-fit to take part.  Classes run during school-term times, taking a break during school holidays.

Rainbow Club is a Christian-led parent and toddler group which is open to any children aged 0–4 and their mums, dads, grandparents or carers. Rainbow Clubs takes place on Tuesdays during term-time from 10:00am to –11:30am. Entrance is free. There is a baby zone with mats, bouncers and baby toys, while a large toddler area offers a variety of toys and books. Adults can unwind and chat, while children can play in a stimulating environment alongside other children. Staff are on hand to help with the children and to chat with the adults. Sessions include free play, a drink and snack during story-time, a craft or hands-on activity, and song-time. Themes are based on seasons, festivals, or simple Bible stories.

Want to meet other people, sit down, drink tea and have a good natter? Then Coffee and Chat is the place to be on Monday afternoons at 2pm, along with about twenty five others. Barbara Cutler and her team love leading this group which they see as a real service to our community. Coffee and Chat is a great way to engage with other people and to make new friends. If you're interested in Coffee and Chat (or know of anyone else who might be interested), why not come along, or invite others to come along and enjoy some friendship, fun – and of course a good cuppa!
